How it all began.

The eurimGROUP – one big family.

It all began with the founding of
EurimPharm Arzneimittel GmbH in 1975. 

During a holiday in England, pharmacist Andreas Mohringer realised that cough syrup was much cheaper there than in Germany. Not only was the price difference astounding – the ingredients of the two products were also the same. This knowledge laid the foundations for the pioneering idea in 1975. Under the guiding principle “The original at a better price” or “You can count on us”, Valium was the first imported pharmaceutical to be registered in the Lauer-Taxe database in 1982.

The Group has since become a very successful supplier of imported pharmaceuticals and medical devices. With the acquisition of the copper intrauterine device manufacturers Mona Lisa and Prosan, the family-run Group has constantly expanded and still continues to do so.

Our path

The eurimGROUP

1975

A pioneering idea emerged from a holiday in England. In 1975, pharmacist Andreas Mohringer founded the company EurimPharm and created a new market segment in healthcare through the importing of pharmaceuticals. Under the motto “Making health affordable”, the company distributes imported pharmaceuticals and medical devices on the German market to this day.

1997

As a subsidiary, Alphamed acts as a specialist in the field of procurement, market research and the trade of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

1998

Mona Lisa became part of the eurimFAMILY in 1998. Through the acquisition, the product portfolio was expanded to include the gynaecology field as an original manufacturer.   

2017

The idea of offering secondary packaging expertise as a service to other companies under the brand name eurimsolutions became a reality in 2017. 

2019

After working together for years, Prosan, a manufacturer of copper intrauterine devices, also became part of the eurimGROUP in 2019.

Over decades, the eurimGROUP has managed to become financially independent. A strong balance statement is a huge advantage when it comes to quickly seizing opportunities that arise and overcoming times of crisis without immediate pressure on the workforce.
